Technical application of zinc aluminum coating

Posted on 2018-08-15 Zinc aluminum coating is composed of flake zinc powder, aluminum powder, inorganic acids and binder, coating liquid is coated on the surface protective layer, a new structure and properties after sintering formed, it English named "dacromet". As a new technology that completely innovates some traditional metal surface treatments, since its introduction to China in 1993, zinc-aluminum coating technology has many advantages in high-corrosion, thin coating and high-clean environment-friendly production. It is widely used in the automotive, construction, transportation, power, communications, home appliances and other industries.

 

Anti rust mechanism of zinc aluminum coating

 

1. Barrier effect: because of the overlapping of lamellar zinc and aluminum, the corrosion medium, such as water and oxygen, is prevented from reaching  the substrate and can act as an isolating shield.

 

2. Passivation: in the process of zinc aluminum coating, the inorganic acid component react with zinc, aluminum powder and base metal to produce a compact passive film, which has good corrosion resistance.

 

3. Cathodic protection: the main protective function of zinc, aluminum and chromium coating is the same as that of zinc coating, which is cathodic protection substrate.
